Play in the "Quad City Amateur Tour" events is governed by the official rules of golf
published annually by the United States Golf Association (USGA). Onsite rulings will be made by "the host" Professional according to the USGA Rules of Golf.

Note: Rangefinders & Other Electronic Distance Measuring Devices..For all play on the Quad City Amateur Tour, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. However, if, during a stipulated round, a players uses a distance-measuring device that is designated to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the players is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

Rules of Play:

Note: This year there are two free spots offered to QCAT players to earn the right to play in the John Deere Classic Pre-Qualifier at Pinnacle Country Club on Thursday, July 5th, 2012. The first, is given to last year's Points Leader and Player of the Year. The second spot goes to the "Points Leader for the Current Year". The QCAT Board of Directors has declared that we will use a player's 3 best total of 4 event points awarded prior to the Pre-Qualifier date to determine the winner. In the case of a tie, the spot will go to the player with the most points in the last event. If the winner declines the opportunity to play in the Pre-Qualifier, the Runner-Up will be offered the opportunity to represent the QCAT.

All players must register using Event Registration forms provided on the website Sign-Up page in order to play in each tournament and in order for points awarded to be valid. (Open Division play will be from the championship tees at each course). *Seniors will play from one set of tees forward. Ladies will play from the Ladies (usually red) tees.

All players must turn in a valid scorecard, signed by the participant and his playing partner that recorded his scores, at the completion of each event to the Tour scorer's table. Any unsigned scorecard will result in disqualification.

On course rulings, pace of play, USGA rulings, postponement of play, cancellation of tournament, refund policy, etc., are at the sole discretion of the HOST GOLF PROFESSIONAL and his/her staff. If Tour Board members are asked to assist in making these types of rulings they must have an impartial opinion!

There are no minimum number of events in which a player must participate except to play in the Hasley Cup competition a player must have played in at least 2 events in the current year. A player's overall Tour placement will be awarded based on his top five (5) finishes out of the eight (8) tournaments (6 regular, the Quad City Amateur & the Tour Championship).

A Rain Date weekend has been added to the schedule and is to be used in the case of a complete washout of a previously scheduled event. The host course for that event will have first rights to host the event on the Rain Dates. If the host course declines this right, the Quad City Amateur Tour Board of Directors will find and designate a course to host the Rain Date event. In the case of a second washout, the second event will be cancelled in its entirety unless the board can determine a new, reasonable and effective alternative.

In the case of a weather interference, every effort will be made by the Host Course Professional in conjuntion with the QCAT Board of Directors to complete the 2 or 3 day event.

Caddies are allowed and even encouraged on hot summer days.
