For 2012, the Tour features 7 regular tournament events in the Quad-City area. QCAT members earn points based on their finishing position in each event. Additionally, the Quad City Amateur, the Tour Championship, and the QCAM are played for higher points. The season ends with the Hasley Cup, pitting top players from both states against each other using a Ryder Cup style format. The fantastic schedule makes the Quad City Amateur Tour one of the strongest amateur golf tours in the Midwest. Senior Division players must be aged 50 and older. A "senior" player may choose to play in any event as an Open or Senior Division player by indicating such on the event entry form and earn points in the chosen Division. Non-tour members may play in any of our tournaments but will not receive any points. Their entry fee for each event is the same as a tour member and they qualify to win merchandise rewarded at each event. Tour members are awarded points based on positioning in a maximum of 5 of the 8 sched- uled events. The players' overall Tour finish is based upon their best 5 finishes. Player of the Year awards are presented to the top finishers in the Open and Senior Divisions. After the first 7 tournaments the top 32 players in the Open Division and the top 16 players in the Senior Division may play in the Tour Championship. After the Tour Cham- pionship, the top 10 Open and the top 3 Senior finishers from each state are awarded spots on the Hasley Cup teams (minimum of 2 current year events required to qualify). The Open Division captains from each state have 2 additional picks and the Senior captains will have 1 additional pick to complete the total of 12 Open and 4 Senior players from each state. A Ryder Cup format is used in this premier season-ending event.
