At this week’s National City Bank Amateur Tour Board Meeting, the board approved a change to the 2007 Hasley Cup event.

It was agreed that the Hasley Cup teams from Iowa and Illinois would be expanded from 12 to 14 Open Division players and from 4 to 6 Senior Division players.

There will be 2 captains from each state (an Open and a Senior captain). Furthermore, it was agreed that players # 1 through 12 in points standings after the Tour Championship in the Open division and 1 through 4 in the Senior division would represent their state.

In the case where a player is unable to participate, player # 13 (or # 5 in the Senior division) must be offered the opening. (e.g. player # 6 would be replaced by player # 13, if 13 can’t play then # 14 and so on).

Two (2) additional “captain’s picks in both divisions would complete the team of 14 players in the Open and 6 in the Senior division. A captain’s pick player must have played in at least 2 NCAT events in the current year.
