Mother Nature may have taken back the great early season weather that we
enjoyed the first part of April, but hopefully the sun will be shining on your
golf games real soon.
There are a few upcoming events that are worth noting -- hoping to help them
find some sunbeams as they continue to shine. Two of those are the start of the
2005 National City Bank Amateur
Tour that is right
around the corner and the second annual Class of the Quad-Cities summer event for high-schoolers
from both side of the
But before we expound on those, I'm asking for your help. As we get going
with our summer golf coverage, I'd love to have your input on what you would
like to read in this space each week. As golfers, I know you have plenty of
interesting subjects you're talking about on the course and at the 19th hole.
If there are topics, concerns or questions you have that would make good

NCBAm set to tee off: With the turn
of the calendar to May, that brings us closer to the start of the National City
Bank Amateur Tour with the May 14-15
Hawthorn Ridge Amateur
at the Aledo golf club. Entries are being taken for that event and season
memberships are also still being accepted at qcamtour.com.

No matter what your handicap, this summer series is for golfers, run by
golfers. It deserves your support. So either become a member or play in a
